I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I’m calling,
Lord, you catch me when I’m falling,
And you’ve told me who I am.
I am yours…
I am yours…

It was a typical day after work, im doing the usual tambay at the recreation area when my teammate (officemate in leyman’s) told me to listen to this particular song in his phone(i was actually exploring his new phone and was listening to some of his songs then) "Who am I".  THe title is not new to me. (i think) I heard it already, tgalog version nga lng… "Sino ako", during our values class in high school. Anyways, since im not really sure if  their the same (i cant really remember) i listened to it.

"Who am I" thats the first line. "ok, interesting.." i thought. Listening further,i appreciate the melody, the quality of the baritone voice of the male singer (casting crowns) complemented with that of the female back up singers, the powerful crescendos that really causes that –well, some sort of emotional stir… i dont mean to be technical (kunwari) at that point though, thats the least i can appreciate (english kasi…hindi ko mahuli ung ibang words.. hehe). Nevertheless, I told my self i like this song..

I listened to it one more time and there… the more you understand the lyrics the more you appreciate everything (by everything, i really mean every things –in life, joy, pain, etc)… as i listen more, i understand… and agree… Hmmm…

What’s the meaning of the song? I know this is the most important part of this entry.. i really love to add more details and all… unfortunately i have to go (soorree namahn)… I guess you’ll just have to listen to it and contemplate about it yourself. As i go though, i want to recommend this song to several people: the proud, the lost, the always sad, and the "everyone". :)

PS: Tnx to my teammate who made me listen to this song
